Terms of Use
TheLibreOffice.com is a free collection of guides for LibreOffice. You can read and use the guides without an account, and nothing on the site is sold. These terms explain what you can expect from the guides and how you may reuse them.
An independent site
TheLibreOffice.com is not part of The Document Foundation and is not endorsed by it. LibreOffice is a trademark of The Document Foundation; the name appears here only to describe the software the guides cover. Names of other office suites belong to their owners.
Using the guides
Every guide is written against The Document Foundation's LibreOffice help and the version of LibreOffice current when it was written. Menus, dialogs and file-format handling change between releases, so check each step against your own version before you rely on it. Before you follow steps that change files, such as converting a document, saving over an original or editing a PDF, keep a copy of the original you can return to.
The guides are provided as they are, without a warranty that they fit your system, documents or deadline. To the extent the law allows, TheLibreOffice.com is not liable for lost work, damaged files or other damage that results from following or misreading a guide. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Reusing the content
The text and images on this site belong to TheLibreOffice.com. You're welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the guide it came from. Republishing whole guides, copying images or feeding the articles into another site or product needs written permission first.
Links to other sites
Guides link to The Document Foundation's help pages and other outside sources so you can check a claim at its origin. Those sites are run by others, and their own terms and policies apply once you follow a link.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the site grows, for example if a newsletter is added. The current version is always the one on this page.
